We are excited to announce the first Aspen International Partner's young leaders workshop, and we are delighted to offer up to three scholarships for Aspen NZ Alumni to attend, as well as an additional two scholarships to cover return airfares from NZ to Berlin for:
"Democracy Forward: Inspiring Change in Today's World"

This workshop presents a unique opportunity for young leaders who have a keen interest in democracy and are aged approximately 25-30 years.
What is the Democracy Workshop?
Throughout this immersive 4-day, 3-night workshop, participants will engage in thought-provoking discussions, breakout groups, and experiential learning sessions across Berlin. The workshop will explore the workings of democratic systems and their impact on societies. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded peers to develop actionable commitments for positive change in their communities, expand their global networks, and form valuable partnerships. Beyond the workshop, participants will benefit from ongoing support and collaboration through the International Partners network.

What is the Scholarship criteria?
Participated in an Aspen Institute New Zealand seminar
New Zealand resident or citizen
Aged 25 - 30yrs (approximately)
Able to travel internationally and participate fully for the duration of the workshop
What does the scholarship cover?
All costs of the workshop, including lodging (3 nights), meals, and site visits
We now have available an additional scholarship to cover return economy airfares from NZ to Berlin for up to two applicants.
Travel insurance and other costs outside of the workshop are not included
